The project

Infocube provided Labcom with consulting services for the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia 2009 communication and promotion activities via social network channel. Promotional efforts were mostly focused on Facebook, the most popular social network in Italy at the time, but also included two other portals: MySpace and Flickr. The establishment of a network of links across web platforms (site www.myteatrofestival.eu and social networks) has enabled widespread web communication and the addressing of specific targets with both push and pull actions, resulting in an interactive report.

The MyTeatrofestival Facebook profile, the web soul of the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia, was created ad hoc to interact with network users who are passionate about art and theater. A variety of initiatives, including the launch of a photography contest and the activation of an institutional fan page, were designed to promote the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia MyCARD and the benefits available to cards in order to generate as many activation requests as possible. After just two months, the MyTeatrofestival profile had more than 2,000 friends on the Facebook network, the fan page more than 700 fans, the group dedicated to the photo contest more than 1,000 subscribers.

Communication on Flickr and MySpace was largely targeted at helping Facebook’s promotional operations, assuring a larger spread of the event’s, MyCARD’s, and Photo Contest’s fame on the internet.
